Comments

Adding comments to posts

Comments is an additional message that Posterium automatically publishes after a post is published in the channel’s linked discussion group.

Such messages are published on behalf of your personal bot. This allows you to automatically enrich your publication with text, photos, videos, documents, GIFs, audio files, and media groups.

Settings

A comment can be added when creating or editing a post in the chat version of the bot, on the website or in the Mini App.

In a chatbot

There are two buttons available in the post settings:

  • 💬 Discussion: ✅ / ✘ - Enables or disables discussion for this post.

  • 📎 Add-ons — opens the comment editor.

After clicking 📎 Add-ons Simply send text, photos, videos and other files.

Each message sent becomes a separate comment. If you send an album (a media group of 2-10 files), it will be published as one comment.

Maximum you can add 10 comments to one post.

On the website and in the Mini App

Comments support text formatting and attachments. Add text and necessary files, save the post - after publication, comments will be sent automatically.

How it works

  1. Posterium publishes a post in the channel.

  2. If a discussion group is linked to a channel, Telegram automatically creates a message in it.

  3. After a few seconds, Posterium finds this message and publishes your comment in response to it.

  4. If a discussion is disabled, Posterium closes the discussion option.

  5. If there are several comments, they are published sequentially with a slight delay between messages.

Requirements

For the function to work you need:

  • link a discussion group to a channel;

  • add a bot to this group;

  • give the bot administrator rights, including the right "Publishing messages".

Restrictions

  • no more 10 comments to one post;

  • no more 10 files in one comment (media group);

  • text of one comment - up to 1024 characters.
